As we move into 2025, I’m excited to share with you some of the updates and projects I have lined up for WilmerWoodWorks. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m looking forward to all the new ideas, collaborations, and content we’ll be diving into this year.
A Look Back and a Look Ahead
Before we jump into the upcoming projects, I just want to take a moment to thank all of you—my amazing community—for your support. Whether you’ve been with me since the early days of my YouTube channel or just recently discovered the world of woodworking and laser engraving, I’m so grateful for your engagement, feedback, and encouragement. You’re all a big part of what makes WilmerWoodWorks so special!
Now, let’s take a look at some of the exciting things I have planned for the upcoming months!
1. A Deep Dive into Lightburn for Beginners
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that Lightburn tutorials have been some of my most popular content. In 2025, I’m going to take it a step further and create an in-depth Lightburn tutorial series for beginners. This series will cover everything from basic functions to advanced techniques, helping you make the most of your laser engraver.
We’ll go over:
- How to get started with Lightburn
- Setting up your laser and adjusting settings
- Importing and designing projects
- Advanced engraving tips
This will be a fantastic resource for anyone looking to get more out of their laser engraver or enhance their skills with Lightburn. Stay tuned for these tutorials—I can’t wait to help you level up your laser engraving game!
2. Exciting New Content on Instagram and TikTok
If you’re not already following me on Instagram or TikTok, now’s the time! This year, I’m planning to step up my presence on both platforms with quick tips, sneak peeks of projects, and fun behind-the-scenes content.
If you’re on TikTok, expect to see some short-form woodworking and laser engraving clips that you can follow along with, as well as engaging posts that will keep you updated on all things WilmerWoodWorks.
3. Shop Upgrades and Organization
As part of my 2025 goals, I’m focusing a lot on shop organization and upgrades. One of the first things I’ll be doing is integrating the MicroJig Matchfit dovetail system to help improve accuracy and efficiency in my projects.
I’ll also be working on some upgrades to my table saw, including adding a router lift to the extension wing.
I’ll be sharing the entire process with you, including product reviews, setup tips, and any lessons I learn along the way. If you’ve ever wondered how to improve your own workspace, this series will be packed with valuable tips.
4. Live Streams and Member-Exclusive Content
In addition to my regular YouTube videos, I’ll be hosting live streams twice a month in 2025. These will be a great way to connect with you all in real-time while working on projects in the shop, preparing for upcoming craft shows, or simply chatting about all things woodworking and laser engraving.
One live stream will be open to everyone, and the other will be exclusive to my YouTube members. These members-only streams will provide even more personalized content and behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming projects.
I’m excited to hang out with you all in these live sessions—grab a cold one, and let’s dive into some shop shenanigans!
5. New Projects and Collaborations
This year is all about collaborations! I have some amazing partnerships lined up with other content creators and makers. From product reviews to joint projects, these collaborations will add even more value to the WilmerWoodWorks community.
Additionally, I’ll be working on more gift ideas and laser engraving projects. I have a lot of cool ideas for personalized gifts that would make perfect stocking stuffers, birthday presents, or home décor items. Expect to see some creative builds, along with detailed tutorials on how to make them yourself!
6. A New Look for WilmerWoodWorks: Logo and Website Rebranding
In the near future, WilmerWoodWorks will be getting a fresh new look! I’m excited to announce that I’ll be rebranding the logo and updating the website to reflect the growth and evolution of the brand. The new look will be clean, modern, and more reflective of the woodworking and laser engraving content that you’ve come to love.
This rebranding will make it easier for you to navigate my website, find new content, and stay connected with the latest updates. I can’t wait to share the new design with you all—stay tuned for more details on when the updates will be live!
