Navigating the Ups and Downs of Crafting an Edge Grain Cutting Board

Fresh off the success of an end grain cutting board, I ventured into the realm of edge grain. With materials at the ready for two boards, I embarked on this new challenge. However, not all went according to plan. A slip of the router bit marred the juice groove, and a wandering bit mishandled the handle. To top it off, a post-oil revelation showed an off-center groove. It was one of those days where nothing seemed to align.

But every craftsman has a few tricks up their sleeve. I’ve devised some clever jigs to outsmart these woodworking woes, and I’m excited to share them with you in a forthcoming video. So, keep an eye out! In the meantime, join me in embracing the imperfections and learning moments from this project’s bumpy journey.

I have been doing woodworking since I was in high school (a while) and I also enjoy making 3D projects and general projects so the videos I post will be basically what projects I have going on and how I go about getting them done.
